Arnel Pineda is Arnel Pineda is a Filipino singer and songwriter who gained attention in the Philippines in the 1890s, and internationally in 2007 as the new lead singer of the American rock band Journey. Arnel is 54 years old in 2021. He was born Arnel Campaner Pineda on the 5th of September 1967, in Tondo, Manila, Philippines. Every year, his birthday is September 5. Arnel is expected to turn 55 on September 5, 2022. His birth sign is Virgo. Arnel is 5'4" (164 centimeters) tall. Following the death of his mother, his family was left in debt. His father, who was six months behind on rent and unable to provide for the family, asked his relatives to adopt Arnel. Arnel saw the situation and quit school to assist his father. Arnel was born at the St. Jude Thaddeus Diagnostic Clinic in Tondo, Manila, the Philippines to Restituto Liising Pineda and Josefina Manansala Campaner. Arnel's mother urged him to sing as an infant. His parents took him to several singing contests. Arnel's mother was suffering from heart disease. She passed away at the age of Arel was just 13 years old. After his mother's passing his family was left with debt. Since his father was six months behind on his rent and as well as unable to provide his family with food, his father made the decision to request his family members to adopt Arnel's siblings. Arnel has three siblings: Roderick Pineda, Joselito Pineda, and Russmon Pineda. Arnel was aware of the situation and made the decision to drop out of school to relieve the burden of his father. Arnel was for two years in the streets, sleeping where the best he could in public parks or in the narrow seat outside of a friend's crowded house. He gathered glass bottles, newspapers as well as scrap metals and traded them to recyclers. Arnel also performed odd jobs such as cleaning scrap metal and docking ship. Cherry Pineda and Arnel are married. They were married in 2001. They have two children together: a daughter (Theachenelle Pineda), and a boy (Cherub). Arnel has two more mature children: Matthew and Angelo.
