Stallone is an actor, writer, director, and producer, was born in New York City on July 6th, 1946. His trademark droopy visage was caused by an incident with forceps that occurred at the time of his birth. A nerve was severed when the accident occurred, and resulted in a the ability to speak with a slur. Stallone was an anxious child. His parental hostility and resentment, eventually leading to their divorce, had adverse impacts on him as well as Frank. Stallone spent his childhood in foster care. Stallone aged 5 years old at the time, moved with his family to Washington, D.C., where his father started his own chain of beauty salons. Stallone was a resident of Maryland for many years, but stayed with his father following the parents' divorce in 1957. Stallone had trouble both academically and emotionally and had to abandon various schools.
