Azita Ghanizada Azita Ghanizada, an Afghan American actor in the United States has appeared in several television series. Born in Kabul Afghanistan her family fled their home country to the US and received the right to stay in the US as asylum seekers. Ghanizada was brought up to a young age in Northern Virginia and is the middle child of two sisters. Ghanizada began her career on TV by playing in a number of National Commercials. Ghanizada was awarded an honorary award for the role of Chiara, who played the central character of Laura Neri's 2004 film A Kiss on the Nose. The actress was an actress in numerous TV shows, such as How I Met Your Mother Veronica Mars Wedding Bells Num3RS Bones Psych and Castle. Recently, Ghanizada played in the independent comedy You Only Better and Blood Shot 2009. She also appeared in the action thriller of science fiction Blood Shot. Ghanizada was first seen in General Hospital Prime-Time spinoff General Hospital. Season two of Nightshift she played holistic specialist Dr. Saira Bastra.
