Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet school for children in the elementary grades. Felix demonstrated a talent for sports early, and discovered her ability to sprint during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. At her first attempt and placing in the top two in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships for the 200-meter sprint in only 10 weeks. Felix was signed to an official career at Adidas in 2003, and later enrolled in University of Southern California to learn about elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the 2004's Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s and set the new world junior record. The youngest winner of the 200-meter race at the World Championships in Helsinki in 2005. She was able to defend her record once again in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and was consistently among the top three athletes in each of her events.
