Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix was the Los Angeles native born on November 18th, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister who was ordained by Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a primary school teacher in Balboa Magnet. Felix was aware that she had a talent for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her first tryout she came 2nd in the 200 meters at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003, signed an agreement with Adidas. She then was accepted into an institution called the University of Southern California and pursued a degree in elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic medal at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. In the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the youngest winner in the world in the distance of 200 meters. In 2007, she was able to defend the title against her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently in the top three in all event she competed in at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
